RestoreTools > RestoreTools - OS X Sierra / High Sierra (10.12-10.13)If you are on OS X Sierra or High Sierra the old/original purple tools will not all work properly or at all. Luckily there is a very easy fix.
The new version of Restoretools comes with new versions of the old tools and will replace deprecated libraries and dependencies that do not work with OS X Sierra or High Sierra.
Do in this order: First download the old AppleInternal folder, unzip it, then put it in your root directory.
For the next stepyou will need Pacifist. It is a robust de-packaging tool that is free to use.
Then download the new Restoretools, and open the Restoretools.pkg file with Pacifist. Once you have done that, just select 'Contents of RestoreTools_2k16' and hit 'Install'
Then just use the wizard to install the tools.
After you have done these things you should be ready to rock and roll. Just head on over to ipsw.me
to download your ipsws/keys and you're all set to experiment with PurpleRestore and the several other internal apple tools included in this package.
